"Finding your physical center is valuable.  Any exercise that uses mindfullness
is following the Way.  Combining mindfullness with centering is the key to
proper action.  Proper action is strong balance, timing, and harmonious
movement, foundation stones of the physical aspect of Aikido.

We learn to bring our bodies to a dynamic stillness to help us learn to still
our minds. Practicing the basic skills of timing and leading we become more
harmonious spiritually. Instead of overpowering we become like water, fluid and
  adaptive.

I often find that it is easier to become aware of and maintain the feeling of
my centrum at the end of practice. Just as yin and yang complement and complete
each other, a quiet mind and a dynamic, efficient movement reflect and enhance
  each other.

No dreaming, wake up, find your center!"

"One thing I like about Aikido is that it teaches people to walk away from a fight if they have the oppurtunity to.  By walking away, they can easily control the outcome.  Another thing I like is that Aikido not only trains you physically, but mentally as well.  Self control is an important part of Aikido.  Like my dad always says, `If you can't control yourself, how do you expect to control someone else?' "

"Train sincerely in Aikido and evil thoughts and deeds will naturally disappear. Daily training in Aikido allows your inner divinity to shine brighter and brighter. Do not concern yourself with the right and wrong of others. Do not be calculating or act unnaturally. Keep your heart set on Aikido, and do not criticize other teachers or traditions. Aikido embraces all and purifys everything."

"Saints and sages have always revered the scaredness of heaven and earth, of mountains, rivers, trees, and grasses. They were always mindful of the great blessings of nature. They realized that it is the divine purpose of life to ake the world continually afresh, to create each day anew. If you understand the principles of Aikido you too will be glad to be alive, and you will greet each day with great joy."
